Will I be eligible for other financial aid?
Yes—the VSF scholarships are not associated with any government-managed programs and should not affect your eligibility for those. You will need to verify this with an advisor at the college financial aid department, and determine all of the options that are available for you.
Why is VSF focused on endowed scholarships?
Once an endowed scholarship fund is established, it produces scholarships every year….FOREVER! It does not matter what the economic, political or social environment is like in the future….these scholarships will be there to support our Veterans.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Veteran Scholarships Forever has 501(c)(3) status with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, so donations are tax deductible for most taxpayers.
How do I apply?
VSF does not grant scholarships directly. Veterans should contact the financial aid and/or Veteran Affairs departments at the participating colleges directly to inquire about VSF scholarships. The participating colleges will be listed on this website as they are endowed with VSF scholarships.
Who is eligible?
All U.S. Military Veterans, no matter when they served, and their current spouses.
What kinds of programs are eligible for funding?
Primarily vocational and skill trades training certification—these are programs that can get Veterans into the job market quickly with jobs that pay well and have long-term growth potential.
